"Black-eyed Susan" (Thunbergia alata) ,native to Eastern Africa. Absolute delight in April! Plant against a fence in a sunny position for the best results. Very easy to grow from cuttings - simply break off a piece of new growth on the stem and gently push into some soft well composted moist soil. Keep in semi shade and don't let it dry out. I can assure you that you will be successful! I see mine here on the photo shows signs of mildew, probably because of some nice rain we had during the past week. A general rule for prevention of mildew is to water the soil, not the plant! Happy gardening, see you next month.
